I wish I could tell you I figured out my health in one try.
That I picked a plan, followed it perfectly, lost the weight, and rode off into the sunset feeling strong and confident.
That is not my story.
My story looks more like this: all or nothing plans, cutting entire food groups, “starting Monday,” white knuckling my way through hunger, losing weight, gaining it back, feeling embarrassed, swearing I would do better, and then repeating the cycle again.
For years I thought the problem was me.
I would look in the mirror and think, “You are a grown woman. You should know how to do this. Why can everyone else stick to it but not you?”
That sentence lived in my head for a long time.
“I should know how to do this.”
It kept me quiet. It kept me from asking for help. It kept me stuck.
Here is what finally clicked for me.
It was never about willpower.
I did not fail because I was weak. I “failed” because most of the programs I tried were never designed to be lived in a real woman’s life long term.
They told me to eat less, work out more, and ignore my hunger.
They told me carbs were the enemy.
They never taught me how my body changes in my 40s.
They never taught me how stress, sleep, hormones, and muscle mass impact fat loss.
They never showed me how to eat in a way that works during soccer practice, busy work weeks, vacations, holidays, and real life. They gave me rules, not tools.
So I blamed myself for a system that was set up to burn me out.
I am a helper by nature. I am the one who shows up for other people. I am the one who figures it out.
So saying “I need support” felt like failure.
I kept thinking, I should be able to do this on my own. I know what healthy food is. I know I should move my body. Why am I not doing it consistently?
What I did not realize is that knowledge is only one small piece.
The missing pieces were:
Nobody had ever taught me those things.
Once I finally learned them, everything changed.
What finally worked was not another extreme diet.
It was learning how to eat enough, especially protein.
It was strength training in a smart and simple way.
It was understanding that my body in perimenopause is not “broken.” It is different, and it needs a different approach.
It was having structure without being miserable.
It was being part of a community where I did not feel embarrassed for having to “start again.”
It was realizing that consistency beats perfection every single time.
Please read this part slowly.
You are not failing. You have simply not been given the right tools yet.
You are not lazy. You are not broken. You are not behind.
You are a woman with a busy life, real responsibilities, and a body that deserves care, not punishment.
I wish I had found a program that respected that years earlier. It would have saved me so much time, frustration, and self criticism.
This is exactly why I created my 21 Day Reset Program.
It is the program I needed when I was stuck in the “try harder” spiral.
Inside the reset, I teach you:
You get coaching, accountability, and a clear plan. You are not on your own trying to guess and then blaming yourself when guessing does not work.
It is not about being perfect. It is about finally having a method that works in real life.
If you are tired of trying every diet and wondering why nothing sticks, come join me.
You do not have to figure this out alone.
You do not have to feel ashamed for starting again.
You are capable of change at any age.
Join my 21 Day Reset Program here and let’s do this together.
I cannot wait to walk with you!
